Celebrating a Fantastic Season of Racing, Adventure and Achievement
What a season it has been! From local races and national qualifiers to epic endurance challenges across Britain and Europe, our club members have been flying the flag and achieving some incredible milestones.
Isle of Wight Club Ride
A huge thank you to everyone who joined this year's Isle of Wight club ride. I heard the day was packed with challenging climbs, stunning coastal scenery and plenty of laughs along the way. Events like this showcase what makes our club so special.
JOGLE
A huge shout-out to Andrew, Dean and Will for completing the legendary John O'Groats to Land's End journey.
Covering the length of Great Britain is an extraordinary achievement let alone in 6 days. The distance being 950 miles which equates to 158 miles a day!
Race Highlights
Dartford Triathlon
Congratulations to Will for a strong performance at the Dartford Triathlon.
Eastbourne Standard Distance Triathlon
Well done to Richard on competing at the Eastbourne Standard Distance Triathlon a very choppy swim to start the day.
Eastbourne Middle Distance Triathlon
An (appalling) effort from me at the Eastbourne Middle Distance Triathlon. This race had me questioning my life choices.
T100 London
Congratulations to Josh and Will for competing in the T100 London event, racing alongside some of the world's best triathletes on a fantastically flat but boring course. This is Wills longest distance, and I think he told me it was the furthest he had ever run!
Brighton & Hove Triathlon
Continuing a superb season Rich took on the Brighton & Hove Triathlon again, another choppy start and an 8-lap bike. Not sure how you referee drafting for this one.
European Sprint Championships, Banyoles
A huge congratulations to Dean and Andy for representing at the European Sprint Championships in Banyoles.
GBR Qualification
Congratulations to Annie, who successfully qualified to represent Great Britain at Eton Dorney in a sprint distance
Adventure Racing
Not all achievements fit neatly into swim-bike-run!
Congratulations to Sarah on completing an impressive Ride-Run-Kayak challenge with her family.
Swim Serpentine
Well done to Josh, Heather, Jojo and Sarah for taking on the iconic Swim Serpentine event in London's Hyde Park. The lake clocked a 15.9 C on race day. This marked Sarahs final race to achieve the London classis medal – congratulations!
Reigate Half Marathon
A strong showing from Sarah and Kendall for completing the Reigate Half Marathon and representing the club on the running circuit.
Looking Ahead
As we move towards the end of the season, it's fantastic to reflect on the achievements of our members. Whether you've qualified for international competition, completed a first event, tackled a bucket-list challenge, or supported fellow athletes at training and races, every contribution helps make our club what it is.
Well done to everyone, and here's to more adventures. Please do keep sending pictures and letting each other know what we are all up to. Sorry for any races I have missed.
There are only a few more club cycles before the return of the spin bikes so get yourselves signed up
Keep training. Keep smiling. Keep racing.
